Welcome to Moonlit Weyr, a semi-canon Dragonriders of Pern RP. Moonlit and CloudDragonhold are situated in a pair of dormant volcanos on the Western Isles.
When a Dragon first laid a clutch on the sands, it was discovered the minerals in the ash caused harmless mutations of the color genes of the dragonets, producing new colors of dragons. Lilac, Teal, Sunset, Sand, Spiral, Peacock*, Sapphire, Silver, and Dusk join the ranks of Gold, Bronze, Brown, Green and Blue.

The Western Isles are the only location to have these new dragons. Roleplay takes place after AIVAS's plan to move the Red Star succeeds, and in fact, at this point in play, Thread has ended for good.

Impression on this site has nothing to do with sex/gender or sexuality, and is based solely on what seems the best match of personalities (though bonding preferences are taken into account).

OOC:

Moonlit needs a revamp. It needs to be better organized, with new plots that we stick with, to increase interest and keep interest in rping here. I need to not lose interest in rping, as I'm the Admin, but first things first : cleaning up Moonlit. This includes some jobs for me, like reorganizing and simplifying links, sidetables, and categories, and staying active on this site.

Other things are up to you guys - like being willing to return despite my AWOL nature recently, participating in the plot, suggesting mini plots and activities, and, most importantly, having fun!

As for the Main Plot and mini-plots, that is up for discussion, and I intend on posting a thread about it, open to all members. For now, I can inform you all that there are no more Talents, because it made the non-canon colors into a commodity, which is so not cool.
The possibility of opening talents up as a rare and very occasional thing that can happen to any color of dragon/wher/flitt is something that can be discussed. We should discuss what sort of overall plot should take place, how long it should last, the specifics, etc, as well as deciding on what mini-plots are good ideas.
Possible ideas include a feline/wild wher/wild watch-wher attack, watch-wher mating run and wherlet hatching, storms, weyrling training... Any ideas you have, post them, and we'll talk as a group.

Hopefully I can get Moonlit up and running again really soon!

the star craft hall is attached to the Weyr, newly formed in a section once unused of VolcanoWeyr, the second part of the Weyr. Dragonriders are most welcome as apprentices, since they are the ones who will be deflecting meteors!

Harper Hall

The harper hall is actually attatched to Nighet hold, a short tunnel leads to the GreatHall of the crafthall. Harper aprentices come here to learn their trade, and masters teach and play.

Candidates and holderfolk, as well as weyrligns and dragonriders, may coem to the hall to learn to be a harper.

the crafthalls surround the weyr, some of them being part of it, in fact.

The harperhall, starhall, and a few others are close enough to the weyr that even candidates can continue taking lessons while liviing at the weyr, whereas the ones farther out must be reached by dragon, runner, or would take a normal person up to a day or two to get to.
