Lanrie blinked open her eyes in the darkness and stared at the cieling, and wondered why in faranth's shell she had woken up. sitting up, she could tell it was pretty late at night- probably near if not at midnight. So why was she awake?! Swinging her legs out of bed after pushing the blankets to the end, Lanrie reached for Dusk Zith's supposedly sleepy mind. And ended up laughing as Zith leaped up from her dragon bed and put her big paws on Lanrie's lap, like a big puppy!
You're awake! I'm not tired Lanrie love - can we play?I'll sleep tomorow when you have chores!!!
"Shh!" Lanrie hushed the dragonete as she burbled and whacked her tail against the bed frame, making thumping noises in the darkness.
Lanrie glanced over at their roommates - Passianth and Faizah. Hopefully they hadn't awoken the others.

Faizah heard Lanrie's laughed and couldn't help but wake up. It had been a long time, to her atleast, since she had last heard noise at night. Even after Impressing Passianth, her wonderful white, silence had reined once the lights went out. So she smiled as she turned half way over to watch Lanrie and her dust, Zith.
"Is it morning already, Lanrie?" She asked in good humor.
Faizah glanced over at Passianth. He, she called her white a he since the tone of it's mindvoice sounded male enough, was still sleeping soundly. She doubted that would be for long, however, since he almost never slept longer than she did. Faizah couldn't help but notice the way he was sleeping, either. All curled up, like a feline. Or maybe some prim bird... Either way, Passianth was asleep.

Lanrie looked sheepishly at her roommate. "Sorry, Faizah, I didn't mean to wake you up! Zith here wants to play. At midnight." She said, rolling her eyes at her Dusk dragonet. Zith rumbled hapily and turned *her* mind towards Faizah.
Sorry Faizah-of-Passianth. Maybe you and Your-white-Passianth would like to play with us?!
"Zith..." Lanrie said, smiling. "Well, Zith wants you two to come, and if you're not too bummed on the loss of sleep, w could go down to the kitchens and graba a midnight snack..." She suggested, stretching. Teppar and E'tel were still asleep, fast asleep as if they were dead, and she didn't bother waking them up. Bylth and Queluth wouldn't want to play. Or a least, that's what Zith said.

Faizah laughed at Zith's energy. She looked over at Passianth, wondering if she should wake him for this little playdate... She decided to do it. He could always catch up on sleep during the day, unlike her.
Passianth... Wake up, dearest. Faizah prodded the slumbering white.
Passianth's wings fluttered a little bit, but he didn't wake. Faizah sighed. He sure did sleep hard, the little white. She turned to Zith with a devious smirk on her face.
"Why don't you try to wake him, Zith?" She asked.
She decided to warn Passianth. I'm sicking Zith on you...
Re: Domino Effect « Reply #4 on Dec 9, 2011, 3:23pm »
Lanrie chuckled. "I bet he wouldn't wake up even if we yelled and banged pots and pans!" She joked, looking at the little white's sleeping form. Zith didn't mind! She chirped her eagerness and bounded over ot her clutchmate.
She snuffled at him and nudged him and then Zith leapt, literally leapt, on top of Passianth, churring laughter. The boys stirred but ignored them completely. That was good, she didn't want them to come! But Passianth and Faizah, she did.
Oy! Passianth! WAKE UP! She mind-shouted, letting Lanrie, Passianth, and Faizah hear her words and she sat down on top of *him*.
"She doesn't beat around the bush." Lanrie said with a grin.

Passianth leapt almost a foot in the air when Zith jumped on top of him. When she yelled at him Passianth squeaked in alarm, running out from underneath his clutch sister and to Faizah. Faizah was still in bed, laughing, as Passianth hopped into the bed with her. He burrowed under the blanket with her, turning so only one whirling yellow eye was visible.
"That she doesn't!" Faizah agreed, roaring with laughter even as she reached over to lightly scratch his eye ridges.
Re: Domino Effect « Reply #6 on Dec 19, 2011, 4:25pm »
I'm sorry brother! I didn't mean to scare you. Come play with me Passianth?
Lanrie laughed along. "Sorry 'bout that. So, let' sgo, shall we?" She suggested, smiling at Faizah. She got off her bed and smoothed down her embarassingly frilly pink pj's before putting on some slippers.

Faizah agreed, getting out of bed as well. She smoothed the front of her nightgown, a dull brown color, and looked under the bed for her slippers. Passianth was still on the bed, his eyes whirling a slow yellow. He watched Zith carefully, afraid she might pounce on him again.
"Are you coming, Passianth?" Faizah asked as she found her slippers. She was standing next to Lanrie, but was looking at him.
Passianth thought for a moment. He would much rather be sleeping, but that was ruined now. He might as well go with HisFaizah and ClutchSisterZith. There was no chance he was going back to sleep now...
Passianth nodded and crept off the bed. He watched Zith carefully as he crossed over to Faizah. He crossed in and out of her feet, like a cat, and waited for them to leave.

Zith moved slowly over to her brother, her eyes whirling in guilty pinks within the happy blues and greens. I really am sorry, Passianth. It wasn't my intention to scare you, brother. I only wanted you to coem with us! She said, lightly bumpin her forhead against his hide.
Lanrie smiled and walked over to the door and looked at Faizah across from her. Then she moved into the doorway and stepped into the dark hallway.
"I wonder if we're supposed to be up and around at this time of night..." She wondered aloud, then turned to wait for her friend. The halls were dark but not black, and she thought she had a candle stub in her pocket.
"Oh, do you have any matches Faizah?" She aske,d pullign the candle out and searchign her other pocket, which turned out empty.

Faizah searched the only pocket she had, coming up with a single match. She held it up for Lanrie to see. "We're going to have to be really lucky with this." She smiled slightly.
Passianth followed Faizah, sighing as he tried to think of something that would calm his sister. The adrenaline had left his system now, and he was thinking clearly again. He felt bad about making his clutch-sister feel bad.
It's alright, Zith. I over reacted, sister. He said to her.
Re: Domino Effect « Reply #10 on Jan 1, 2012, 1:53pm »
Zith crooned happily at Passianth's words.
Oh good! I wouldn't want to harm you, brother. Wna to run ahead of MyLanrie and YourFaizah, Passianth? Zith didn't pause for a moment before her usual energy was back in full swing. Even at midnight, she was bouncy and boistrous.
Lanrie chuckled and took the match, lighting it against the stone wall.
"We certainly will! Ah, there we go." Lanrie said, as a flame sparked. She held it to the candle.
"You wanna hold it? I think I'd probably drop it..."
Re: Domino Effect « Reply #12 on Jan 4, 2012, 6:27pm »
Lanrie chuckled, putting up a hand to shield the flickering flame. "And hopefully not blow it out, either!" She half-joked. "Allrighties, the kitchen's this way, right?" Poor Lanrie, she wasn't too good with directions.
Zith nodde her little black-grey head. That's allright, brother. But when we get to the kitchens, we could play?
