In a Pern where AIVAS is not discovered, the days of even tempers and surety amoung Riders has gone. In its place, Benden Weyr becomes tense, every action by its leaders conflicted and debated until naught is done but to argue. A Great Flood that has set the record as such things goweakened the weak ties between the riders of the Weyr; the flooding added to the already high tensions. But what really caused the split is unknown. At some point tensions reached their limit, and so a band of Dragonriders set out to create a new Weyr of their own. They named this Heartland Weyr.
When the only gold in heat, Fahith, Rose, she soared high and was caught by Bronze Wryth. The Weyr's inhabitants were joyful. But in this version of Pern, a sickness has begun to appear in bronzes and golds. And the egg-heavy Gold Fahith seems to have caught this virulent illness. Not only are the Weyrfolk and Riders uneasy, but the Holders too are beginning to notice, and have started to become wary. With the world changing around us, what could possibly happen now?!

--At Heartland Weyr, players help us uncover and discover many things, such as new places to explore and enemies/allies alike. You contribute to the Weyr just by creating characters and ideas! There is much fun, mystery, drama, and excitement to be had here.
--Many character positions are open,including tryouts for a Junior Weyrwoman character, and positions of Candidatemaster, Weyrlingmaster, Lord/Lady Holder, Wherhandlers, Dragonriders, Headwoman, and Candidates! Yes, we will need candidates soon! The reason....
--When Fahith clutches, it surely will be an awesome sight. Twenty-eight eggs with three gold eggs. You don't want to miss it!
