Largest Female Dragons
Gold
Max Size: 30 ft tall x 50 ft long
Average Size: 28 x 48
Min Size: 26 x 46
Impression: Golds tend to prefer to bond to emotionally/mentally strong individuals, natural leaders, people who are confident in their choices and decisions, who can lead and also lend a hand.
Mentality: Generally strong-willed, proud and confident Dragons, Golds can also be demanding and vocal, especially when young. They can be possesive and are often extremely temperamental when broody. They are the smartest of the large dragons, and care and know all who live in their Weyrs. Usually unafraid of toil or hard work, but demanding of due respect. Golds are fierce defenders of their loved ones, like any DragonKin. Often highly-strung, but are also supportive and observant.
Physicality: Generally, Golds are the largest Dragons in a Weyr, though Bronzes often come in at close seconds. They're powerfully build Dragons, high-stamina and not quite as maneuverable as the smaller Dragons. Thickly-muscled but still manage to appear elegant and regal. In coloration, they can be any imaginable shade or tint of gold. Their hides have a metallic sheen.
Maturity/Clutching: Golds mature at 3 turns, and can Rise at that point. They then Rise once every other turn. Approximately 3 months after a Mating Flight, Gold Dragons will lay their clutch, which will usually have between 6 and 20 eggs. Any color Dragon can be the product of a Gold Clutch; the first time they Rise, a Gold or Lilac egg is not always forthcoming, and not every clutch will result in a Gold or Lilac. There is usually only one large female hatched in a clutch, if any - two is rare.

Lilac
Max Size: 27 feet tall x 47 feet long
Average: 24 x 44
Min: 22 x 42
Impression: Lilacs tend to prefer to bond to emotionally strong individuals, passionate, dedicated people who are strong because they do not reject emotion. They tend to like people who can lead, but aren't liable to moments of over confidence.
Mentality: Somewhat more realistic, and usually more even-tempered than their Gold sisters, Lilacs are generally also more adaptable. They are often thoughtful, but the negative that comes with this is the possibility of over-thinking, and they can be just as vain as Golds can be prideful. They are no less fierce and fiery when needed than their siblings, but have a more optimistic viewpoint.
Physicality: Smaller than Golds and Bronzes on average, Lilacs can be any shade or tint of purple, with a pearly shimmer to their hides. They are built similarly to Golds, but somewhat more willowy, with greater agility and nearly as much staying power than their larger sisters.
Maturity/Clutching: Lilacs mature at 3 turns, and Rise once every other turn. Approsimately 3 months after a Mating Flight, a Lilac will lay between 5 and 19 eggs, with an average of 10. The new colors are more common from a Lilac's clutch than from a Gold's, but unless the father is a Bronze, a Lilac cannot lay a Gold egg, only a Lilac. After the first Matign Flight, a Lilac egg is not always forthcoming, and not every clutch results in a Lilac. There is usually only one large female hatched in a clutch, if any - two is especially rare with Lilacs' clutches.
