Lesson 1 - This is the time in which you complete your general education; candidates will also learn to read and write if they do not already know how. Also various candidate lectures are held at this time. This is the time when Wher and Dragon candidates are separated in their lectures. There are three classes in this time period. the six candidate groups will split thmeselves up between classes. 'lectures' are, for example in dragons- oiling and harnesses lecture, for whers, blooding and understanding the language.
Lesson 2 - Includes any craft you desire to be associated with (Harper/Healer/Weaver/Miner/Smith/Wood/Baking/Fisher/Star/Dolphin/Electronics -Crafts) The lesson is your time to grow in previous journeyman/apprenticeships, as well as to enjoy learning a new hobby. It is also the time to pursue an occupation should you not impress of choose to stop standing, and to prepare for the day when the Weyr must sustain itself, and the occupants no longer survive on tithes. If you do not take a lesson in this time, you have partial free time in the candidate barracks.
Lesson 3 is another moment where the candidates of Dragon and Wher and separated- lesson 3 is the more hands-on lesson. An adult Dragon will volunteer for this time. Bathing, oiling, harnessing, inspecting for rough skin are the things the Candidate will have to learn and do in this lesson- all things that cannot be taught in a classroom are taught in the Weyrling Training 'Bowl' in either moonlit or the Dragonhold. There is also learning to sit in a saddle (the saddle is straped to a log with strong lines strung through it, which are attached to pins in the wall. A candidate will learn what conditions are experienced during a Threadfall or other Flight in a safer environment), learning to prepare firstone, and sacks, as well as learning about young dragons from those who have done it themselves. This lesson is mandatory for candidates to attend.
(it is not mandatory that you write a thread about it, unless I begin it with the candidatemaster, in which case you have two weeks to post twice in the thread.)
