Dragon Colors Contest!!!

I have decided to hold a contest to decide on the one or two new dragon/wher/flit colors that i will put up.

These new colors will be infertile "mutties" and their patterns will never be exactly the same, coming from unexpected clutches.


so! Here is the form to create your dragon color! Please note that while COLORS are never copyrighted or off-limits, color names are occasionally (c), and it is rude to use someone else's color-name, thought youy may use that color under an new name.

For example, the purple dragon that is here called lilac has many other names on hundreds of other non to semi cannon sites, and they are all the same basic coloration. just not the same name.

[b]Personality:[/b] What is the color's basic personality? The traits that many of that color tend to have.

[b]Appearance:[/b] This includes the various shades the dragon comes in, as well as any markings that may be distinct. Hex codes are not needed, but can be helpful.

[b]Impresses:[/b] What gender and sexuality to these dragons Impress? Homosexual females? Bisexual males?

[b]Fertility:[/b] Are they fertile/infertile? If female, what are the clutch sizes? If male, about how many eggs would they sire?

One is in the new color, as the first to be so, and the second is any other color of your choice (not including the new color) You may choose to give one flitter to one charrie and the second to another, or both to the same charrie.

third prize: one character of your's of your choice will recieve either a flitter of any color (your choice) OR a limited-color Ferit, such as masked or snowy.

Color: Tiger-- the dragon is a dull brassy color with tiger-like darker stripes running down it's hide.
Cause: X-ray radiation caused mutation of the color-producing genes, resulting in a bi-color dragon.

Gender: Can be either male or female:
Female-40% of the time can be female
Male- 60% of the time can be male.

Size: 25 feet at the shoulder, with head a half-foot to foot above that. From nose to tail-tip is 14 feet long, though occasionally differs.

Appearance: the Tger dragon's main shade is anything from an orangey-golden color, without the shine, to a dull brassy shade. occasionally more of a brownish shade. the stripes are not actually black, but rather a darker form of the base color. The stripes are tiger-style stripes, but they do not always cover the whole body. Often, the face is plain, without markings, or the stomach and chest do not have markings.
Tiger dragons have a lighter build than a brown, but not the quick and sleek shape of the green or blue. Their wings are a bit longer than most dragons, and are usually a lighter shade than the body color.

Impresses: Male Tiger dragons impress to male candidates of heterosexual or BI orientation, while female Tigers impress females of any orientation.

Fertility: the female Tigers tend to be Infertile, but if they somehow are fertile, they only clutch about 7 eggs. Male Tiger dragons are occasionally 'sport' dragons--meaning they, like whites, do not chase. If a male Tiger Chases and Catches, they can sire up to 10 eggs, usually no more than 12.

Rises/Chases: Females rise at the same rates as most greens do. Chasing, males do not chase golds, usually, but tend to try to chase greens, and they catch about as often as blues do.

the females tend to be as vain and flirty as greens are, usually impulsive or inquisitive, can be demanding.
the males are proud and thoughtful, contemplative but also occasionally bad-tempered.

This can be a wher, dragon or flit... they be the ‘brute force and ignorance’ type! So cute!!!

Color: Jonquil
Cause: When the egg was still soft, something (an erratically flying flit)ran into it. The dragon inside was jostled into conscienceness, because of the early state, the dragons mind wasn’t fully formed. The only thing it knew was that it had to try and get out, so the various limbs that it had began to move, ending up in places that were unusual.

The egg was unfortunately a queen egg, hence the slightly off yellow colouration of a Jonquil

Gender: A Jonquil is neither. What once was a queen never fully formed it’s gender. So now it chases, or runs, whenever it wishes. A jonquil, because of its small wings, will never achieve a ‘flight’. In this way they’re more like whers than dragons. However, the run of a Jonquil can last much longer than the run of a wher, and they often shoot themselves into the air so the other dragons can have a chance.

Size: The size of a blue in height, but of a green in length, as well as the bulk of a bronze. Tail length is slightly longer than any of the fore mentioned, and was the only thing that wasn’t changed from its original queen form.

Personality: Usually for those who choose to be females(they fly), have the personality of a regular queen, proud, compassionate and vain. Those who choose to be males(they catch), are the stereotypical bronze. Hard-headed, tough and proud. Because of their unusual breed, Pride flows through almost every Jonquil, and they need it to continue to have rank among their other dragon counterparts.

Appearance: The original egg was a queen egg, therefore the colourations are that of queens. Except every colour is very pale in comparison to a gold with the same colour, as if it’s been washed out.
The first/only Jonquil hatching would have been a sight not to miss. Everyone was expecting a beautiful queen, proud and graceful. They got the proud part, and the graceful, but some people thought they missed out on the beautiful. A Jonquil, first of all, didn’t need to tap its way out of its egg.

It merely used its head. Butting the size would have made it crack easily. The usually tough hide that’s found on the legs of a dragon, had formed on its head. An armoured plating had formed, in a triangular shape, flattening the head. BIG eyes on the size of its head, made the Jonquil look like a cute baby crocodile(sort of).

The spines of the dragon had also moved, forming in bunches up the neck(they would be called spineclusters). A spine had also made its way up onto the nose, forming a small, spiky horn.

The muscle all queens posses was moved also, scrunched up into one, blue sized body. The bulky, powerful dragon does definitely stand out from the rest. And with a tail the length of a queens, a long of damage could be done if said Jonquil is clumsy.

Impresses: Usually heterosexual females or heterosexual males. The pride comes in to play with not wanting their choice to embarrass their riders.

Fertility: A female would probably lay 10 eggs, maybe 12. But because of its size, it cannot clutch many more than that. However, because of its genes, Jonquil’s should[/i] be able to clutch more, therefore the eggs that they do clutch will most often be all healthy. A Jonquil’s clutch will more than often contain another Jonquil(if we are turning it into a proper mutation).

Rises/Chases: If they rise, they do so once a turn. If they chase, it will be of only their kind, or maybe a dragon that specially consents to flying low for them.

Color: Amaryllis
Cause: Was the result of a Dusk - Lilac flight with the eggs falling into a chasm and the underground fumes created the color mutation along with the parents...

Gender:
100% Male

Size: About 5-6 meters long and the tail adds only about a quarter of a meter as it is very short and stubby. About 2-3 meters at the shoulder. About the size of a brown

Personality: Pessimistic, narcissistic, loves pain, violent, selfish, miserly, parsimonious, rapacious

Appearance: This dragon is always a bright red. That can never change although the green markings on his hide can. The markings are normally jagged, running up and down the tail, and occasionally along the neck. The shades of green can vary although they are 60% likely to be a bright limeish green.

Impresses: Basically anyone...
30% Hetero Male
20% Bi female or male
20% Homo female or male
20% Transexuals or either
10% Hetero females

Fertility: About 10-15 eggs could be sired but would be lower or higher depending on the female caught
Rises/Chases: Like any male they chase at any opportunity, they can rise for all females, but only daring ones would rise for Golds and Lilacs

only problem with your explanation, inkith, is how the very tiny Dusk would be able to catch a huge Lilac.

Exactly... They didn't really have much choice there was only the Dusk chasing so it was inevitable... Would that be possible?

Color: Beryl
(color and gender mutations)

Cause: Mutation in-egg of a sapphire dragonet. due to the mother being a not-normally clutching female who layed a clutcjh, the egg was left un bueried for just long enough for the mutations to occur

Gender: Hermaphrodite --> both male and female, beryls are usually clasified as male, for their *voices* are masculine. as hermaphrodites, they may rise and chase.

Size: same length as the sapphire. (check the dragon colors thread for details)

Personality: they are normally slow, thoughtful dragons, spending much of their time thinking. They are not known for unpleasent natures, but for dreamy, simple-minded ways. calm and rational.

Appearance: Similar to the sapphires from which they mutated, Beryls have two colors.
the main base coloring is a pale aqua to light tealish color- a mixture of blue and green colors. and the 'points' on the extremities and wing sails are a sky blue color. they are long and muscular, augmenting both the male side and the female, with deep, barrel-like chest yet graceful appearance and stance.

Impresses: They will impress to the one person who adapts well and suits their personality. they do not categorize by orientation or gender because beryls will be chased and will chase, so their riders must be able to deal with whoever the other rider is.

These tend to be female riders, though personality counts most.

Fertility: The female side is infertile, not able to clutch. Their male side is fertile, and they can sire up to ten eggs, maybe more if a larger dragon.

Rises/Chases: Rise twice a turn. Chase most small females.

Color: Lapis Lazuli (Often just called Lapis)

Cause: Genetic evolution. It’s bound to happen eventually. Everything evolves. I must admit it is a odd evolution though. lol

Gender: Female

Size: These dragons share the size of their blue brothers. They are about 25-32 meters long and about 15 feet tall.

Personality:
Lapis dragons tend to have very high self-esteems and tend to be very regal as well. They believe they are the pretties things to ever hatch from a egg and are very proud of themselves. They do not see anything they do as bad and tend not to understand why people get angry at them when they do something that others consider bad. These dragons are also very very picky about almost everything. Everything from what they eat to who they impress to. Surprisingly, Lapis’ do not have much of a temper unless something isn’t to their standards. They like to play with other dragons and get along well with most anyone as long as those people don’t mind their arrogant ways. The quickest way to get these dragons angry or irritated is to make fun of them. These dragons are also know to be the narcissists of the dragon bred.

Appearance:
Lapis dragons base colors tend to be a verity of different shades of blue. They range from everything to a light powder blue to a dark almost black blue. They tend to stick with the darker colors over the light though. These dragons aren’t solid blue though. These dragons also have tan and grey markings that range all over their hides in strips, blotches, and many other marks as well. These markings tend to change with the dragon when it comes to the amount of them and the size of them though. It is very rare to find a Lapis that isn’t covered in these marks however. Lapis’ also seem to shimmer like a whole bucket of glitter was sprinkled all over their hides. Their shimmering is dependent on how clean their hide is and how well oiled it is. Occasionally these dragons are very hard to look at when the sun reflex on it‘s hide causing their hide to sparkle.

Impresses: They impress to whoever they want. They do not care if their bonded is male or female. They don’t care what sexuality they are. All they seem to care about is that they feel right. These dragons usually choose their life-partner at the egg brushing long before their hatching.

Fertility: These dragons are infertile if they chew firestone, but if they don’t, they can lay up to ten eggs only consisting of fighter dragons. However, the possibilities of other colors may occur when caught by the right male. Such as a bronze. These dragons do not clutch queens. Period!

Rises/Chases: These dragon rise about as much as a green rises. Though this may be true, they do not clutch during every flight. These dragons also have the ability to be chased by any male dragon. Though this maybe true, only the smaller males tend to be able to catch these lithe dragons.
