Green Meril's first Flight!
S'ven was rubbing oil into a rough part on Corenth's back left leg when his little green dissapeared *between* mid-helping him.
"wha?!" He said out loud. Meril, green though she wa,s had never disobeyed him at all, unlike Honey, the amber flitt he had also impressed quite by accident. He'd come for one and ended up with two.
But at least they didn't eat his shirt like Iind'i 's little kiwi had!
He stifled a chuckle and looked at Corenth. the large sand was standing half-submerged in the lake and had a pleased expression on his face.
MineS'ven, the little greenMeril has gone to Rise! S'ven gaped at Corenth before recovering. "Do you think i ought to go make her blood her kill?" He asked aloud.
Corenth looked sadly at his half-finished oil job and then nodded his great head. yes, the little one needed his S'ven so she might be able to clutch like his sisterVerelith had done.
Verelith's babies had hatched not too long ago- two sevendays- weeks- ago!
S'ven smiled at Corenth and then hurried off to where Meril's fainnnt images showed him: by the edge of the marsh, where the ground was still dry and solid but trees grew wildly and vines creeped across the ground like snakes.
Meril was, obviously, trying to catch a squirrel, for he saw one of the bushy-tailed things dart up the tree before he could've said 'ishcabible'.
Meril was hunting. oh yes, although her first had gotten away, she was determined to have the best fuel for her Flight. S'ven told her not to gorge, but only to blood, sending her a picture of the blood of the squirrel she eventually brought down. She listened to him after some squabbling, and Meril feasted upon the energy of the furred anima;'s blood.
She called around to the males- any and all male flitts, but preferably the best of the best to Chase her! S;ven felt a surge a 16th of dragonmatinglust hit him, but it was barely noticiable. He wondered whose flitts would Chase?
Meril called to the males in her singsong voice and flew in tight circles before landing on S'ven's shoulder. She dug her claws in so deep they hurt, but she wouldn't let him remove her.
She stared out, for those males would have to find a window- not to her soul, but to her Heart.
