Josie and Farlith were riding the currents of air, the sun sparkling down gloriously, and the frigid winds blew past the Gold and HerJosie without a care.
Farlith's hide could handle the cold quite nicely, but Josie was wearing a warm riding jacket, longsleeved shirt beneath, and two layers of pants. Still, the wind chaffed her cheeks and nose, but Josie whooped and enjoyed the fun flight that they were taking. There was no motive behind their choice ot fly besides a wish to have fun together. As one of the junior weyrwomen, Josie and Farlith seldom had time to relax.
But finally, josie called it quits, as her face was so cold it hurt.
Farlith, I think we should go back now. My cheeks are burning they're so cold, and we're quite a bit far from the Weyr now. She suggested. The Golden Queen dragon looked back at her Rider and snuffled, nodding her head with a sort of chuckling sound.
Yes, Mine, I think it is time for us to go back! You look like a tomatofruit!
Josie punched Farlith's shoulder playfully and Farlith turned around and flew back. The wind was pushing them home now instead of hitting them in the faces.

When Farlith backwinged to land on her ledge, and thne Josie slipped off her dragon's back, she noticed sometihng on her bed.
Something blue with a yellow stripe down its side was sitting on top of a bag on her bed, oddly enough.
"Quazzie? What are you doing here?" She asked in surprise, recognizing her close friend G'ri's Blue flitter.
Quazzie rolled off the strange bag lazily and she got a good view of the bag in question.
It was dark purple, nearly indigo in color, or royal blueish, and when she put her hand to it, she found that the fabric was soft, velvety!
"Did G'ri get this for me?" She asked the firelizard. But he wasn't there anymore!
Farlith rumbled amusement.
I would assume that your closer-than-close friend bought you the bag and left it as a surprise. I think you should open it right away! Farlith said eagerly, padding over to the bed and Josie, both of which were quite small in comparison with her.
"Alright, Farlith. I think you're right, I'd better thank G'ri when i see him" She said, ignoring the teasing about the relationship between she and G'ri.
She sat on the bed and Farlith lowered her head closer to it. Josie opened the bag and reached inside.
The first thing her hand came out with was a very soft beret-type hat in a deep purple color. After that she pulled out a matching belt with a square silver buckle that had roses engraved around the edges. With a smile, Josie reached in again and pulled out the last item in the bag.
It was a beautiful perfume bottle in the shape of a heart with a silver spray top engraved with even more roses.
She turned the bag insideout just to check, and was surprised to notice that the bag was printed with embroidered silver roses on that part, climbing up the insides.
"Oh! wow... I love it!" That's all she could say, josie was speachless. Not only were the things inside the bag beautiful and useful, but so was the bag itself!
She hung the bag from her closet door carefully, placed the perfume on her bedside table, and tried on the hat right away.
She stood in front of her mirror, the deep purple beret sitting jauntily upon her head, admiring how it looked.
"I really have to give him a huge hug when i see him next..." She mumbled. Farlith rumbled and padded over to her dragonbed.
Tell me when you're going to go find him, because I want to see duluth again. I haven't in a while, you know, and he really is handsome.
Josie grinned and launched herself at the Gold, who playgrowled and tossed Josie softly with her tail onto the bed.
"Yeah, I'll do that!" She laughed breathily, grinning still.
