[Flitter eggs! First come first serve!]

"Gah! Aurora calm down! Shards and shells girl!" Tessa exclaimed nursing her latest scratch from the overprotective silver. Said silver hissed at her owner hovering protectively over a small clutch of eggs that she'd been guarding. Flitter and girl glared at each other until a slight twitch from one of the eggs startled the silver mother. Giving a squawk the silver mother nosed her eggs for a moment then suddenly Tessa got several fuzzy images of the eggs shaking. She blinked and tilted her head a bit.

"You mean their ready to hatch soon? Shards I can't handle more flitters." she muttered sourly. She suddenly got an idea but she needed to tend to the scratch on her arm. She went to the infirmary and got it bandaged after cleaning it. Then she went back to her room and eyed the clutch that had been laid in her clothes drawer of all places.

"Okay 'Rora, it's time for babies to go to their new home." she said and grabbing the drawer before momma silver could react the teen made her way out to the weyrbowl. Taking a spot where she'd easily be seen she set up shop so to speak.

"Flitter eggs need good homes! First come first serve!" she called out as Aurora circled above her chirping worriedly. Those were her babies! With a huff the silver perched on Tessa's shoulder while Tessa's blue Merlin perched her other shoulder.


The Hidden Treasures Clutch
1. The Diamond egg~ a light silvery-blue with white spiderweb markings. Smallest of the clutch. [Parallel for Kestrel]
2. The Sapphire egg~ A uniform dark blue. Medium end of the clutch. [Dragon's Jainy]
3. The Emerald egg~ A deep grass green with streaks of lighter green across its surface. Larger end of the clutch. [Kat for Kariel]
4. The Garnet egg~ A deep blood red it has grey markings running across it. Larger end of the clutch. (on Reserve for Saiyuri)
5. The Pearl egg~ A light pearly pink color that is very nearly iridescent. Small end of the clutch. [Will be given to a random character]
6. The Jade egg~ A dark green with splotches of yellow and grass green scattered across it. Medium end of the clutch [reserved for Rayne (probably xeroti)]
7. The Moonstone egg~ A pale blue-white. Small end of the clutch and smaller than the Pearl egg. [Dragon's Nythel]
8. The Amber Stone egg~ An amber-brown it has splotches of honey-yellow scattered across the surface. Largest of the clutch. [Inkith's Zaevethyr]

[okay it will be first come first serve people so post with the charrie you want to receive an egg and you will be given one. Once all eggs have been given out someone (prolly Inki or Kat) will send pms with what you have received.]

Zaeve heard the call from the Weyrbowl, announcing that flitter eggs were in need of a home. She had Diomede and Ath, but Athoriac was barely around anymore, she assumed that he was sneaking out with some pretty female feline. But she had no proof, her feline normally disappeared like smoke, then reappeared when he was needed. So Ath didn't really need her anymore.

Diomede was still a handful but she thought that it would be a good idea if she got a playmate for him. So she made her way down to where the candidate was standing, she was already chatting to two other people.

Zaeve was good at remembering names, and she this candidates name, it was Tessa. Everyone had heard of her volatile silver and had stayed clear of her. Zaeve also knew because Diomede had chased the silver when she had flown.

"Hey Tessa! I see you decided to give these ones away. I guess you didn't really want anymore on top of your two."

She nodded in the direction of Merlin and Aurora.

"Do you think Aurora would let me have that one?" She pointed a slender, pale finger at a large amber-brown egg.

Kestrel had been taking a walk around the weyr bowl after some hot klah. She paused when she heard a distant cry. "Flitter eggs need good homes! First come first serve!" Looking over towards the girl who was calling this she suddenly became very excited. First come first served. So rank was no object? Being a candidate made Kestrel feel at the very bottom of the weyr, more or less unimportant in comparison with everyone else. Even the weyrfolk seemed to have more responsibility than her! But here was a chance for her to bond with a flitter of her own, regardless of who she was.

Almost jogging over Kestrel waved to the girl, "Hi! You're giving flit eggs away? To anyone? Really?"

She stood, gazing at the eight beautiful eggs. "My name's Kestrel, I'm a new candidate here. Would it be alright if I had one?" Her eyes lingered on the diamond egg. "This one is so small", she whipsered thinking of how small she felt here. "Could I....?"

Tessa smiled as the first person to approach was one of the junior weyrwomen. She nodded at the lilac-rider's comment.

"Aurora and Merlin are enough to handle right now." she agreed and added, "I don't see why not. That one hasn't been claimed yet." she reached for the egg only to have Aurora scrambled down her arm and nip at her hand. Tessa paused as the silver studied Zaeve for a moment before chirping and nudging the Amber Stone Egg toward her. Tessa rolled her eyes.

"I don't get her sometimes." she muttered giving a slight shrug.

Aurora grumbled as the first egg was given away and climbed back up Tessa's arm but Tessa hushed her as a girl who was a fellow candidate by her knots came up. Tessa smiled at the girl.

"Yes I am giving them away. I have two already and don't need another one." she answered laughing a bit. She noticed the girl studying the Diamond egg and smiled a bit. It was the smallest of the clutch and had been Aurora's personal favorite. Aurora studied Kestrel for a moment then cheeped and scuttled down Tessa's arm to nudge the diamond egg toward the girl. Tessa nodded.

"Looks like she approves of your choice. Take care of it." Tessa spoke petting Merlin who crooned happily at the attention.

Kariel and Ertoth had just finished an wing-training exercise. As Ertoth walked alongside his Rider, he heard something that he shared with her.
Mine, a Candidate, Tessa, is giving out firelizard eggs! Have you not always wanted one? Ertoth sure knew everything about her!

Hahaha, Yes, I have always wanted a firelizard. Thanks Ertoth! Could we fly there? Are you tired?
I don't mind at all Mine. You could never hurt me, and flyign together is fun! Ertoth replied.
They could fly short distances together now, S'ven had said, but only twice a sevenday could they go for longer flights. Still, from the 'weyrling bowl' to the Weyrbowl was no long flight!

Ertoth lay down to sun himself after the touched down and Kariel huged his neck before jogging towards Tessa and the flitter eggs.


Kariel walked over to where Tessa was and smiled at the younger girl. Kariel was short ,yes, but she was much older than most candidates and even some other weyrlings. At the age of 22, she'd not been expected to Impress, but she had.

"Hey Tessa!" She looked over the eggs. "I heard you were giving away flitter eggs... do you think Aurora would let me have the Emerald egg?" SHe said, pointing to the green largish egg. I was so pretty, like the gemstone it was named for!

Kestrel smiled when the girl told her about the two fire lizards she already had. Her eyes flicked nervously from the Diamond egg, to the anxious silver mother. But then the silver nudged the egg towards her and Kestrel felt so honoured she could hardly keep her emotions in check. Carefully picking the egg up she beamed at the girl, "Thank you so much!", before turning to the silver inclining her head and saying, "Thank you to you aswell."

As she felt the warmth of the little creature inside the new egg, her new egg, she wondered what to do next! "When will they hatch do you think?", she asked as a woman a few years older than her approached them. Continuing to glow with pride and cradling what would be her new companion she smiled back at the newcomer,"Hi! They're beautiful aren't they?"

Tessa smiled as Kariel came over. She was glad to see that the weyrling and her partner were doing well. She nodded a bit at the girl.

"The Emerald egg? Well it hasn't been claimed yet." she answered and glanced at Aurora. The silver was studying Kariel for a moment then nudged the Emerald egg forward with a chirp. Tessa nodded.

"It's yours Kariel." she said glancing at Kestrel as the girl spoke. She blinked. "It honestly shouldn't be too much longer before they hatch so be sure to keep an eye on your egg. Keep it warm in a pot of sand by your hearth if you can." she replied smiling at the girl.

She was bored of Training, and she was ready for some excitement. Something to take her mind off of everything that the Weyrlings Master was trying to teach her and the other Weyrlings that had impressed from the same clutch as Jewelith. She was happy for her lilac beauty and wouldn't change her impression for the world of anything. She was out for a walk to stretch her legs and to see if anything interesting would be happening. And she could see something going on, she changed her direction and arrived in time to hear the girl call out, "Flitter eggs need good homes! First come first serve!"

Her interest was piqued and she watched as a few people picked out eggs, the little silver, who must be the mother, made the determination of if someone received an egg or not. She decided to see if the little silver might let her have one of the eggs. "Hello, I would like the Sapphire Egg, please?"

Nythel was wondering around. She'd come to the Weyr to help with getting a few supplies. Her tiny white firelizard, Ghost, was nestled under her shirt in the sling she'd made for the little white. She covered her mouth with her right hand as she yawned. She'd had to sleep last night to be able to come to the Weyr during the day for her supplies. Her Spiral Wher, Nythesk was sleeping at the Wher caves as she was here at the Weyr. Movement caught her eye and she noticed a girl in the bowl with a silver and blue firelizard about her, and a basket on a table. She walked over and watched for a few moments to see what was going on. It was a Firelizard hatching. She walked up and looked at the remaining eggs. They looked pretty, but only one cought her eye. It was the Moonstone Egg. "May I have the Moonstone Egg, please?"

[If Nythel can't have an egg since she should be in the Wher Caves, just ignore her reply.]

Tessa smiled as two more people came up asking for eggs. She nodded at both of them and turned to the silver who was inspecting the girls. With a chirp Aurora nudged the sapphire egg toward Jainy than turned to Nythel studying her a moment longer before pushing the moonstone egg in her direction.

"Take care of them." Tessa said smiling. She was glad that people were coming to get the eggs. She had enough pets as it was and she only had two. Merlin crooned softly from his perch on Tessa's shoulder studying the people as they came and went.
