Ariya had been shocked when Faith's sides had begun to bulge out over the past couple of weeks with eggs. She'd thought Faith couldn't bear eggs but apparently she could having never chewed firestone before. Ariya had kept a close eye on her dragoness ever since finding out that she was egg-heavy. They hadn't been able to do the betweening lesson with the rest of their class but S'ven had gone over the basics with her. Thinking of the Sandrider had a rather goofy smile form on the teen's face.

Mine you are silly. I must be going to the Hatching Sands. Its time for my eggs to come. Faith rumbled to her rider. Ariya sat up and scrambled out of her bed.

Wha-wait for me shardit! she thought though thankfully she hadn't started panicking yet. A quick thought was sent to her blue and Cloud jumped between to where S'ven was chirping loudly at the Sandrider as he landed on his shoulder. He sent the man fuzzy distorted images of Faith and Ariya. Hopefully S'ven would know that though Faith wouldn't exactly need him there presence would be welcome on the Sands.

You're too slow mine. Calm down everything will be fine. Faith chortled at her rider's disheveled appearance as the teen arrived on the Sands. Ariya scowled at her dragon as the Spiral made her way to one corner of the sands. Ariya paused a moment before moving to Faith's side. The Spiral had made a slight depression in the hot Sands and was crouched over it. Ariya felt the ripples of pain from the contractions and winced along with her dragon. Finally the first egg was laid. Faith nuzzled the large red and white egg into just the right position before shifting to lay the next egg.

Easy love. Ariya thought gently sending Faith support as the next egg came. It was a warm solid chocolate brown in color and made the girl smile. These eggs were reminding her off sweets.

S'ven and Corenth were in the lake, where S'ven was washing the big Sand and Corenth was attempting to get his rider soaked to the skin, when a blue firelizard suddenly appeared. S'ven had a puzzled look on his face as it landed on his shoulder and he was given an awfully blurred image of sand, a girl's face, and a green-silver blur he interpreted as a dragon. S'ven grinned then, because he let the blue climb onto his arm from his sohulder and took a good look at him. It was Cloud, Ariya's blue! And that must meen Faith was clutching!

I would like to go to Faith and see our eggs. You want to see Ariya. It wasn't a question at all, and S'ven laughed aloud as Corenth dipped his head under his rider and lifted his head so that S'ven slid to his shoulders. S'ven hoped that he would be able to stay on the dragon's neck wet as they both were.

I would catch you if you fell dear heart.

I know. Let's go!

They arrived in the hatching grounds slightly less wet than before, and they dropped down to the hot sand. Corenth padded to Faith's side and rumbled, touching her jaw with his muzzle in support.

S'ven tried not to curse as he remembered that he wasn't wearing shoes.

"What is it with me forgetting to wear important garments when I'm around you Ari?!" He said, mostly joking, lifting his feet swiftly. Sand slithered over his bare toes and he tried to ignore the heat. Then he saw the first egg and couldn't help the surge of excitement and eagerness. Corenth and Faith's first egg. Wow.

A soft hiss left Faith as Corenth arrived though it wasn't in anger but a contraction had hit just as he and S'ven had arrived. Ariya glanced over and could barely hide a giggle at the Sandrider. Shaking her head she went over to him.

"Surely its not me that makes you forget." she replied feigning innocence as she gently placed a kiss on his cheek. "Now off the sands before you really hurt yourself." she scolded lightly shooing him over to the sands. Faith crooned softly in thanks to the Sand returning the nuzzle. This clutching business hurt! Ariya flinched slightly as she felt a contraction through the bond.

No love its alright. It just caught me by surprise. Ariya replied silently leaning on S'ven a bit. She hated Faith being in pain and not being able to do anything about it. Suddenly the second egg slid out landing neatly in the depression its mother had made for it. Faith gave a delighted warble as she nosed the large brown egg. Well it was large for a Spiral's clutch anyway.

S'ven laughed, his eyes twinkling, and stepped quickly to the side of the sands, enar the stairs to the tiers above. He admired the second egg, and wondered how many she'd lay.

"Have any bets on how many, love?" He said, mostly kidding around. Gold Honey drifted in and peered at the eggs. Soon the gold flitter would have some herself. Of course, they'd be miniscule compared with Faith's eggs!

Corenth rumbled, nuzzling his mate's side for a moment before sending supportive feelings to her. Better than any words he could think of, was support. The sand glanced at his rider in amusement and stared happily at his and Faith's two eggs. Hopefully there would be more!

"Probably not more than five." Ariya answered smiling at Honey as she came in. The teen flinched slightly as another contraction hit hard. Faith hissed softly moving a few steps away before another egg was laid. It was a solid almost blindingly bright yellow.

"Shards I'll be glad when this is over..." Ariya muttered leaning on S'ven a bit. Those contractions hurt! It made her rethink ever having kids but she'd save that thought for later. Finally the Spiral crouched over a last depression in the sand as the final egg slipped out. It was a pretty egg having a base of white and swirls of blues, reds, yellows, and greens on it. There were even a couple of pink swirls thrown in the mix.

"I-I think that's the last one." Ariya commented tilting her head.

S'ven wrapped his arm around Ariya and smiled supportively. "And such beautiful colors too. Not surprising comign from sucha beautiful dragoness as Faith!" S'ven added. He held Ariya, steadily supportive, as she felt each egg Faith laid. Corenth seemed very proud, and S'ven knew that was exactly as the father Sand felt. Four eggs, huh. Four dragonets who Corenth had sired. The Sand hadn't ever sired a clutch before, and his first made him sit taller, even though it was his mate doing all the hard work.
