J'kel sat on his Weyr, on his bed, hidden under the covers, shirt on the floor. Hanrak was loungingin a chair next to the door.
"You're going to have to ask her eventually, you talk about her so much anyways. I assume you do want to go to the turnover ball with Saiyuri right?"
J'kel threw his furs off him in frustration.
"Of course I do you idiot! I just don't know how to ask her..." His voice trailing off at the end of the sentence.
Hanrak grinned mischievously, "Why don't you just stun her with your sexy ways?"
"I DON'T HAVE ANY SEXY WAYS" The brownrider cried out.
"Shards man, calm down." J'kel had thrown himself back under the covers, as Hanrak said this. "All you have to do is be yourself."
The brownrider popped his head ou from under his furs, if only to shoot a withering look at the silver rider.
"What!? She already likes you, so just be yourself." She that the other rider didn't look much more enlightened than he did at the start of their conversation about an hour ago, Hanrak continued. "Fine, you're a sweet guy right?" Another look that could kill. "Ok, I'll ignore your blatant distrust in me and keep talking." His tone of voice hardened. "Get your butt outta bed, and chase her down. Sweep her off her feet.... Speak not my friend." Hanrak added as J'kel opened his mouth to comment. "Go to her Weyr right now, pick a few flowers on the way. Do not argue with me, don't think. You get stupid when you think."
J'kel narrowed his eyes at his friend. He was seriously considering what Hanrak had said, and was having a mental battle with himself.
Now that actually seems like a pretty good idea. Don't think, just do. Wait, I'm thinking right now. Stop. Thinking....
What if she says no? Why would she say no? Because I'm an idiot... No! Stop thinking! Just do it!
He's right you know, the silver rider. He has a good head on his shoulders. Don't tell him I said that. Even though I pretty much told you the same thing about Saiyuri AAAAGES ago.
Yeah, but you said it because you wanted to snuggled with Vaith. The brownrider chuckled.
"What? Why are you laughing? What did Lirith say? Are you going to go?"
"My dragon was just informing me of how smart he thinks you are."
"Wait, are you kidding? Was that sarcastic?"
J'kel ignored him, making up his mind. He stood up striding from the room, he felt exposed, and wondered why. Then he heard Hanrak call from inside his Weyr.
"You might want to put your shirt on, I mean she likes you and everything, but I don't think you should scare her... I mean anyone would be scared by that mess."
He walked out of the room dropping J'kel's tunic on the brownrider's head and the dodging the half-hearted kick sent his way.
Tugged his tunic on over his head, and pulling it down at the bottom the make sure it was straight. Took a deep breath and started walking, it took him a while to realise he didn't exactly know where Saiyuri was...
Lirith? Do you know where they are?
